NativeFrench
Terms and Conditions
Website: www.nativefrench.org
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and participation in the French-language learning services offered by NativeFrench (“NativeFrench”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By registering for a learning programme, making payment, or participating in our classes, you (“the Learner”, “you” or “your”) agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Please read this document carefully before completing your enrolment. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should contact NativeFrench for clarification before making payment.
1. Enrolment and Payment
- Enrolment is confirmed once payment has been received and verified by NativeFrench.
- Learners must provide accurate registration information.
- Each learning plan covers only the services specified in that plan.
2. Commencement of Classes
- Classes must commence within one (1) month of payment. This is the maximum period allowed for a learner to begin classes.
- Learners must commence their classes within the one-month period.
- Payment does not entitle a learner to postpone the commencement of classes beyond one month. A learner who returns after this period to request commencement of classes would no longer be eligible to use the original payment for the programme.
- Group Coaching may require time to form a suitable group and coordinate schedules with the learners and tutor.
- Learners are expected to respond promptly to scheduling messages and provide their availability.
3. Tutor Assignment
- NativeFrench assigns tutors based on the selected learning plan, tutor availability, programme requirements and the learner’s level and needs.
- Learners cannot insist on being assigned to a specific tutor.
4. Refund Policy
- Payments are non-refundable once classes have commenced or any part of the relevant services, such as the issuance of a NativeFrench Learning Badge, has been delivered.
- A learner’s change of mind, personal circumstances or failure to attend classes does not qualify them for a refund.
- Requests for refunds made before classes commence will be reviewed and decided by management, taking into account the circumstances of the request.
5. Attendance and Rescheduling
- Learners are expected to attend classes punctually and participate actively.
- Learners must notify NativeFrench in advance when requesting to reschedule a class.
- Where a class is missed because of a tutor’s unavoidable absence or a disruption attributable to NativeFrench, an appropriate replacement or other resolution will be arranged.
6. Group Coaching
- Group Coaching involves learning alongside other learners and requires coordination of group members’ schedules and tutor availability.
- Learners are expected to cooperate with agreed schedules and respect other group members.
- NativeFrench cannot guarantee that an entire group will be rescheduled to accommodate one learner’s individual preference.
- Where a suitable group cannot be formed or maintained, NativeFrench will communicate the available alternatives, which may include an adjusted schedule or another suitable learning arrangement.
7. Conduct and Respect
- Learners must treat all tutors, staff and fellow learners with courtesy and respect.
- Harassment, threats, discrimination, insults and abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.
- Learners may raise concerns about their learning experience through NativeFrench’s official communication channels.
8. Learning Progress, Badges and Certificates
- Learners are responsible for attending classes, completing assigned tasks and practising consistently.
- Learning progress varies according to individual effort, attendance and participation.
- NativeFrench Learning Badges are issued after a learner completes one (1) month of classes. A Learning Badge recognises participation in the programme and is not a certificate of level completion.
- Each French learning level runs for three (3) months. For example, the A1 level requires three months of learning. A new level cannot be completed in one month.
- Certificates or attestations of level completion are issued only after a learner completes the full three-month level and successfully passes the required evaluation. Certification is not automatic; learners must meet the programme requirements and pass the evaluation to qualify.
- Completing one month of classes only qualifies a learner for a Learning Badge, not a level-completion certificate.
- Learners are encouraged to continue their studies throughout the full three-month duration of each level to develop their French-language skills and qualify for assessment and certification.
- Learners must not falsify or misrepresent NativeFrench credentials.
- Learners are responsible for having suitable devices, internet access and a conducive learning environment.
9. Privacy
- Learners must respect the privacy of tutors and fellow learners.
- Classes must not be recorded or shared without the required consent and permission.
- NativeFrench will handle personal information in accordance with its privacy notice and applicable data-protection laws.
10. Complaints
- Learners should direct complaints to NativeFrench through its official email address info@nativefrench.org and it would be addressed within 3 hours during our official working hours, Monday to Friday by 9am to 5pm.
- NativeFrench will review complaints fairly and resolve them.
11. General Provisions
- NativeFrench may update these Terms when necessary and will communicate material changes to affected learners.
